Welcome

Hi and welcome to this blog. My name is Rudolf. I am 21 years old and from the beautiful Upper Austria. Due to my great parents, I had the opportunity to go on holiday by plane very early in my life. This might be the main reason why I like flying as much as I do today. This is why I decided to take the pilot’s license and make flying a hobby of mine in the first place.

Professional Career

To be honest. I first attempted the selection process for the German airline Lufthansa Group, Europe’s biggest airline. Even though I passed the first test, I failed the second one. Because attaining the ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) is very expensive and I was unsure about it, I decided to study computer science instead. But because I didn’t want to give up this dream so early. That’s why I decided to take an PPL (private pilot license) course.

Why a Blog?

With this blog I want to share my aviation career although it is only a hobby for the time being. This may or may not change in the future. But if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to send me a message via the Contact-Form. Because I regularly go to university, please do not expect to get an answer instantly, but I will do my best.

Commercial Flying

If you are only interested in commercial aviation and flying big planes like an Airbus, then I suggest you to visit mentourpilot for example. These things aren’t topic of this blog yet. For now, I will only focus on my PPL course and my personal experience. Also technical posts will happen from time to time. Maybe I will do a little survey later on, to see if you are interested in other topics as well.
